El fenómeno Kirkman animó a una pléyade de pequeñas y aguerridas editoriales –Boom, Oni, Dynamite- a publicar a una nueva ola de creadores capaces de aunar comercialidad y calidad. Y sobre todas ellas, la renacida Image, la HBO del cómic independiente, gracias a títulos como Saga, Prophet, Fatale o la propia The Walking Dead. Poco a poco, estos cómics van llegando a España cosechando –merecidas- buenas críticas y despertando el interés de los aficionados.
